The Ancient Greek World   -  Website established and maintained by University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.  Features linked pages exploring four major themes:
   1. Ancient lands and time periods of Greece
   2. Daily life
   3.Economy
   4.Religion and death.

Ancient Greece - Website established, copywrited,  and maintained by United Artists, Inc. with links related to Greek arts and architecture, Greek history, Olympics, Greek wars, Greek geography, Greek mythology, Greek people, and other Greek resources.

The Ancient Olympic Games Virtual Museum - Constructed as a virtual museum, this site covers the history and mythology of the Olympic Games.   The virtual museum is a project jointly created and sponsored by Dartmouth College and The Foundation of the Hellenic World.  Included in the site is a slide show, a glossary of terms, and links to various experts willing to answer questions.

Odysseus - Based on The Odyssey, Homer's epic from Greek mythology.  This site includes two versions (short and long versions) as well as an index of terms and people related to the epic.  The text is written by Joel Skidmore and is illustrated by Mark Fiore.  The site is part of Mythweb, copywrite 1997.  This site captures the overall idea of the epic and provides a much easier to read and understand version of the epic tale for students.

Greek Civilization for Middle Schoolers - A series of webpages developed by Portland State sophomores especially for use by middle school students (ages 11 - 14) investigating Greek civilizations of the classical period.  All information included is freely available for copying and distribution.  The site has received the Academic Excellence Award for Study Web.  This is the revised site edition, 1999.

As I organized this website for teachers and students, I have tried very hard to ensure that my own pages are free from material which might be offensive to elementary or middle-school students, parents, or teachers.  Even with such efforts within my own pages, sometimes it is impossible to provide the same guarantee regarding the pages to which my pages are linked.  Please let me know if any such material is located on any of my links so I can make effective changes immediately.
